SHANE BILLIEN scored for the second successive weekend but defensive errors cost our young Priaulx League team dear as they went down 4-1 at St Peter’s.
‘We caused them a lot more problems than the scoreline suggests,’ said head coach Chris Tardif who considered the overall performance better than the Bels game, but a combination of failing to take chances and handing out gifts hurt us.
‘Our general play was good in parts and we dominated possession in key parts of the game,’ the boss added.
In other games our Lancaster 2 side won 2-0 against CF Independant at the College Field, while the Vets went down 5-0 to Bels at the Track.
This week is a busy one for the club with two games for the U18s (Tuesday and Sunday), both of our U13s sides playing and an opener for the U15s.
The first team are back win action on Friday with a Jeremie Cup first round tie against Northerners at Northfield, kick off 7.30pm.
